ASEAN Scholarship program

The Singapore Government Scholarship, administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE)

provides opportunities for talented students from ASEAN member countries to pursue their studies in Singapore’s education system, from secondary school through pre-university level.

The origin of this scholarship is not simply to “provide financial aid,” but rather to serve as part of a broader vision of strengthening cooperation among ASEAN countries. It aims to develop young people with strong academic ability, leadership skills, and an international mindset, while building a network of future regional leaders for the years ahead.

For Thailand, the ASEAN Scholarship is open to students who wish to pursue studies in Singapore at the following levels:

  • Secondary 3 (approximately Grade 9 in Singapore)
  • Pre-University 1 (approximately Junior College Year 1)

Track Approx. Year of Birth Entry Level in Singapore Scholarship Duration
Secondary Track 2010–2013 Secondary 3 ~4 years
Pre-University Track 2008–2010 Pre-University 1 (Junior College) ~2 years
