“International school students have an advantage. They naturally score higher on the SAT.”
Is that really true?

Many people still believe that…

❌ If you don’t attend an international school, you have little chance of competing on the SAT.

❌ SAT scores of 1450+ or 1500+ are only achievable by international school students.

But the truth is…

The SAT doesn’t simply measure how good your English is.

It measures whether you can…

✔️ Read critically

✔️ Analyze information effectively

✔️ Apply logical reasoning to solve problems

✔️ Prepare consistently with the right strategies

Of course, many international school students have more opportunities to use English in their daily lives, which can be an advantage in certain aspects.

However, having stronger English skills does not automatically lead to a higher SAT score.

This is because the SAT—especially the Digital SAT—assesses much more than English proficiency. It also evaluates critical thinking, reasoning, data interpretation, and time management under exam conditions.

That’s why, every year, many students from Thai schools achieve SAT scores that are competitive for admission to some of the world’s top universities.

Ultimately, the SAT is asking one question:

“Are you ready for university?”
